System: Lectura y escritura
Admin: Lectura y escritura
Todo el mundo: Solo leer
Si encontráis mas bugs, comentadlo.
Grácias a todos.

Hello,
I have checked my Leo’s (system disk) permissions via
right click+Get info and found that
========================
system:rw
admin:read only
everyone: read only
========================
Changed to:
========================
system:rw
admin:rw
everyone: read only
========================
then in DU repaired my permissions.
Unzipped the 1.3.7.zip on the Desktop and double clicked – gui opened, but if DSDT.aml chosen (or any)
other table and want to extract – it fails with the same error – as decribed before.
Hmm, can it be that safe login is causing this problem?
Note: in terminal:
DSDTSE.1.3.7.zip 777 (drwxrwxrwx)
the unzipped DSDTSE.app has 755 (drwxr-xr-x)
Via right click_get info on DSDTSE.app it has
rw
read only
read only
I changed to
rw
rw
read only
but after running it – behaves same way.

An exception of class NilObjectException was not handled. The app must shut down.
user: Read & Write
staff: read only
everyone: read only
Error happens when I open the app and click the extract dsdt table.
I can successfully open a dsdt.aml.
folders are creaded automatically without a problem.
biostar g31-m7 te (v6.4) / 10.5.8
Bug solved on 1.4.3 version.
Thanks for reporting
We are thinking on it….
On my system (a PC with OSX10.5.5) version 1.4.2 work with no problem, instead version 1.4.3 have the problem mentioned above. If I open the about window, leave it open, and then I open an editor window the error message is not shown but the window remain empty. If I open an editor window when the about window is closed appear the nilobjectexception error message.
post your system disk permissions please.
System disk permission are:
System RW
Admin RW
Everyone R
hum… does your system disk have a name with spaces as “Macintosh HD” or your user folder?
The name of system disk is “Mac OSX”
The name of user folder does not have spaces
Are you running DSDTSE from the applications folder?
Can you erase your user/Library/application support/EvOSoftware folder , open DSDTSE again and tell us what folder /files are created?
System disk name with a space should not be a problem, but try to quit that space also for testing.
Thanks.
After running DSDTSE are created this files and folders:
EvOSotware folder
DSDT folder
Acpitables folder with some .aml files
DraggedTEMP folder with DSDT.aml and DSDT.dsl
DSDTFiles folder empty
dump.sh
iasl
Dragged temp folder should be empty unless you drag a dsdt onto the app.
The app fails when dragging a file onto it AND when clicking “DSDT Extract” button on main panes?
The app alwais fail, also if I open a new editor from File menu
Please, join our IRC to get a closer look that´s a strange bug.
I get the same error as described above, no matter what I try…
Permissions are as follows,
System: read and write
Admin: read and write
Everyone: read only
Hope you get this fixed quickly guys…
TiberiuD, from where are you running the app? are you on Snow or Leopard?
Saludos.
DSDTse opens, but “Compile error, check output window for details.127″ when I open dsdt.aml.
Problem is caused by the User being in another partition. When I create a test user in the system partition then everything works.
Download again the app (now has a packague installer) and retry.
Windows version is already finished, but iasl under windows refuses to show info when compiling DSDT ( so it´s very hard to see the warnings or possible errors), once this is solved, we will release it.
I get the error “Nilobjectexception”
My permissions are as follows:
system: Read and Write
admin: Read and Write
everyone: Read only
Thx for posting.
From where are you running the application? Is a known bug run the app from a flashdrive or external usb hard disk.
when i collapse menus, and try to search or use go to line buttons it gives me completely wrong results
“i think this is because it searches the current lines (after collapsing) not the lines before collapsing”
this problem is also exists on windows version.
It comes from Alex Restrepo´s editor code included on DSDTSE (wich is not open source and we can´t change).
We explain this problem on DSDTSE help.
NilObjectException here, with totally new formatted snow leopard and all users’s directory permissions fixed…. Error occurs when i launch dsdtse and i dump dsdt table. It opens editor and i have immediatly error.
I noticed that DSDT hack’s menu is EMPTY. The dsdt fix menu is full with all fix suggested by you. Maybe there is a problem making new directories with fixes and hacks?? maybe is related to nilobjectexception error. Strange thing is that before formatting all snow and reinstalling from same dvd, dsdtse worked well.
I found the bug caused by case-sensitive HFS+ disk format, NOT by permission issues. Just try to copy your DSDTSE.app to another disk which is formatted with case-insensitive, then you may find DSDTSE.app works fine.
If you don’t have an extra HDD or partition, try copy to USB stick to run the app.
